These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Timezone Explorer ("we," "us," "the Service"), accessible at timezoneexplorer.com. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
Timezone Explorer is a web-based timezone comparison and meeting coordination platform. The Service is offered in two tiers:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time. Active Pro subscribers will retain access to paid features through the end of their current billing period. Material changes to the Service offering will be communicated via the website with reasonable advance notice.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
Pro subscriptions are processed and managed through our authorized payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. By purchasing a Pro subscription, you additionally agree to Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service.
Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected). You authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your designated payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Upon cancellation, your Pro access will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period. All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason, including partial billing periods, unused time, or feature dissatisfaction. You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any User who violates these provisions, with or without prior notice, at our sole discretion.
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service — including but not limited to the Timezone Explorer name, logo, visual design, user interface, underlying code, algorithms, and documentation — are and shall remain the exclusive property of the operator. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding without prior written consent.
City data and timezone information are derived from publicly available IANA Time Zone Database sources. You retain ownership of any user-generated content (such as shared comparison configurations) created through the Service.
The Service allows you to generate shareable URLs containing city names, timezone data, and meeting parameters. By creating a shared link, you acknowledge that any data encoded in that URL becomes accessible to anyone who possesses the link. Shared links do not contain personally identifiable information.
You are solely responsible for the distribution of shared links you generate. We do not monitor, moderate, or control the dissemination of shared links.
The Service integrates with third-party providers including Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), Lemon Squeezy (payment processing), and Google Fonts (typography). Your use of the Service may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the practices or availability of any third-party service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. While we endeavor to maintain accurate timezone data, such data is subject to change by governmental authorities, daylight saving transitions, and upstream data source updates. The Service should not be used as the sole authority for time-critical scheduling, legal compliance, or safety-related decisions.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to such liability, or fifty US dollars (USD $50), whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Chile, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Santiago, Chile.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Timezone Explorer regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
